In 1936, they moved to Hillrose, Colo., where Everett farmed until his retirement. Because of failing health he moved to Grand Junction in 1991. ..Everett enjoyed his years farming and never tired of dedicating his time to work. His greatest love and appreciation in life was for his family and he treasured the time they spent together. ..He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Potter on May 14, 1993; sisters, Ruby Kudrna and Maude Bowen; and a grandson, Lonnie Potter. ..Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Ossie Potter of Hillrose, Colo.; daughters Patsy May of Craig, Colo., and Wanda Evans of Farmington, N.M.; sons, Dewaine Potter of Grand Junction; Richard Potter of Bloomfield, N.M.; Harold Potter of Grand Junction; James Potter of St. Thomas, N.D.; and Robert Potter of Kelseyville, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Helen Arneson and Ada Hartman of Red Cloud, Neb.; Virginia Groves of Twin Falls, Idaho; Waunita Davisson of Franklin, Neb.; and Ila Myers of Smith Center; brother, Dale Potter of Pine Valley, Utah; other relatives and many friends. ..Funeral services were Jan. 31 at Simonson-Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Red Cloud, with Rev. Dennis R. Linton-Hendrick officiating. Louise Eldred sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Barbara Sprague, organist.
