Read More	Glasco Sun, Feb. 12, 1948, page 5: Charles Lesley Teasley, son of Joseph and Flora Teasley, was born September 12, 1899, at Ringwood, Oklahoma. At the age of three years his parents returned to Cloud County where he grew to manhood. He received his education in the grade schools of Cloud county and as he neared maturity, played a very active part in the affairs in his generation. He was united in marriage with Sylvia Cossel on July 18, 1918. On a farm near Concordia they threw their might, vitality, honor and integrity in the building of a home. In 1936 his family moved to Custer, Oklahoma. In 1943 they settled at Weatherford where he passed from the activities of mortality and answered to the call of the grim reaper. The subject of this sketch united with the Wesleyan Methodist Church at the age of 35 and was active in their church work at the New Hope chapel while they remained in the community. His idea of life was largely wrapped up in community life and the life of his family and his home in his sojourn in mortality convinced him that the world is large enough for all mankind and that each and every individual should play his part and have a comfortable abiding place. He passed from this life February 5, 1948, at the age of 48 years, 5 months, 23 days, at his home in Weatherford, Okla. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Teasley of Weatherford; two daughters, Mrs. Eulalee Madden of Weatherford; Mrs. Rowena Edwards of Bakersfield, Calif.; one son, Mr. Billy Teasley of Weatherford; six grandchildren; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Teasley of Concordia; three sisters, Mrs. Leta Smith and Mrs. Hazel Bonebrake, bot of Casa Grande, Arizona; Mrs. Cleo Driscoll of Concordia; two brothers, Arlet and Ervin Teasley, both of Glasco, Kansas. A community of old friends gathered at the bier to pay a final tribute of respect. Funeral services were held at the Lockstone Funeral Home at Weatherford, Okla., Monday, Feb. 9, at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Lee Goodwin and Rev. Granger officiating. The body was then shipped to Clay Center, Kansas, by rail, where it was met by the Griffith Funeral Home and brought to Glasco. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Clifford L. Moody conducting the services. Interment was in the family plot in Glasco cemetery, with Griffith Funeral Home in charge.
