Lisenbee Dead Charles O. Lisenbee died on Sunday, March 1st, at the State Hospital at Parsons at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 26 days. For many years he was a resident of Cherokee and worked as a harness maker with C.H. Merriam, later buying out the shop and running it. He was a fine workman, and a sportsman who enjoyed fishing especially. He kept the Cherokee Gun Club alive and going while here, and many were the happy days he spent at the lake south of town. Some thirteen years ago his health failed him and he has since been at Parsons. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the home of his brother, T.J. Lisenbee, in this city, by Rev. Roy Sturgell of the Methodist church and burial was in the Cherokee cemetery. The only immediate relative yet living is his brother. Charley was a good friend of the Sentinel family and we will always remember him as the splendid fellow he was many years ago when he was in good health. ******************** The 1880 census, Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri, shows Charles, 18, living with his mother, Mary, 58, and siblings: Thomas J., 29, William, 23, and Eliza, 20.
