Read More	OBITUARY OF CHARLES ORLEY TROXEL ---- Charles Orley Troxel, son of Charles David and Phoebe Caroline (Dinnel) Troxel, was born Nov. 1, 1900, in Chase County, north of Wauneta. (Passed away Nov. 12, 1983). He later moved with his folks to Hayes County. At the age of 16 years, he lost his father and he took over the farming on the family farm with his mother, a younger brother and two younger sisters at home. Orley was baptized into the Lord as a young man and has always enjoyed singing the old hymns throughout his life. Music played a big part in his life. On Oct. 4, 1922, he was united in marriage to Luella M. Bush of La Salle, Colo. To this union were born four children: Norma Ellen, Neoma Evelyn, Charles Robert and Nola Elaine. Orley was a hard worker, always ready to lend a helping hand to those who needed it; and to give the very best to his family. He taught his children honesty and integrity and compassion of your fellow man by his example. He was a great lover of the land, horses, cattle and especially young children. His delight was in getting them an ice cream cone or candy bar. About six years ago, he entered Kinder Kare Center, now Heritage of Wauneta. Here he acquired a "second family" with the staff at the home giving loving care to his every needs. Orley was preceded in death by his son, Robert; a baby grandson; his parents; all of his brothers and sisters: Ralph, Fred, Lute, Pearl Browning, Bell Berry, Elma Berry and Mollie McLain. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Luella; his daughters, Norma and husband Gerold Bodeman; Neoma and husband Don Miller and Nola and husband Harry Straub; six grandsons; three granddaughters; five great granddaughters; one great grandson; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Wauneta Church of Christ Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with Randy Hayes officiating. Music was provided by the church choir. Escorts were Raymond Miller, Daniel Miller, Donald Miller, Timothy Miller, David Straub and Robert Straub.
