Description	:	Mrs. Charlotte Spencer Roberts died at the home of Mrs. Annie Harding Stam, who was the eldest daughter of her late husband, the Rev. Stephen Chester Roberts. She was aged 81 years. Mrs. Roberts had moved to Washington, DC, about 12 prior to her death. Born in Chestertown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Isaac Spencer and Mary Ringgold Spencer. She was a teacher in Chestertown and for many years she lived there with her wealthy aunt, Miss Caroline Thompson, until Miss Thompson's death in 1885 at the age of 99. Stephen Chester Roberts. She was aged 81 years. Mrs. Roberts had moved to Washington, DC, about 12 prior to her death. Born in Chestertown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Isaac Spencer and Mary Ringgold Spencer. She was a teacher in Chestertown and for many years she lived there with her wealthy aunt, Miss Caroline Thompson, until Miss Thompson's death in 1885 at the age of 99. Mrs. Roberts inherited much of her property in the Queen and Cannon street area. Lottie Spencer became the third wife of the Rev. S. C. Roberts on May 9, 1889, where she had been a devoted member of the Emmanuel P. E. Church for many years. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Charles L. Atwater. Pall bearers included Donald Stam, Colin Stam, R. H. Collins, Stephen Collins, Richard Collins and William Collins.
