Her death resulted from old age complications. The body was brought Friday to the Eno & Sutphen Funeral Parlors here where it was prepared for funeral and then taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. G. Brenton to await the last final rites. Funeral services were conducted at the Eno & Sutphen Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. W. F. Clayburg pastor of the local Methodist Church in charge. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Miss Margaret Clayburg and Mrs. C. Underwood sang at the last rites accompanied at the piano by Miss Miriam Kimball. Pall bearers were Dr. F. M. Kelsay, F. B. Taylor, Clifford English, Alfred Havens, Will Havens, and Vernon Sprague. Charlotte Sprague was born July 7, 1850 in Perry County, Indiana. On March 5, 1867, she was married at Milford, now Grant, Iowa to Alonzo Allard and to them were born four children; Mrs. Mary Farlow, Falls City, Nebraska; George Allard, Clarinda; Mrs. Max Petit, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Mrs. Laura Allard, Newell, South Dakota. While residents of Villisca, Mr. and MRs. Allard celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on March 5, 1917. Mr. Allard died January 1, 1929. Mrs. Allard was a member of the Methodist Church. Among the relatives who came from a distance to attend the funeral Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Max Petit, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. Laura Allard, Newell, South Dakota, and Mrs. Mary Farlow, Fall City, Nebraska.
