He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was educated in a local Rural School. He farmed with his parents until 1922 when they retired and moved to town. He then farmed the home place, which is two miles west of town, which he later purchased, where he lived for 35 years... He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was educated in a local Rural School. He farmed with his parents until 1922 when they retired and moved to town. He then farmed the home place, which is two miles west of town, which he later purchased, where he lived for 35 years when he was forced to retire because of illness during which time he has been confined to hospitals much of the time. He was energetic, industrious and is going to be missed by his neighbors and friends. He never married. He passed away at the Howard County Hospital February 22, 1962 at the age of 76 years, one month and 8 days. The deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sena Johnson of Wolbach and Minie (sic) Tempest of Omaha, a brother, Bill Christensen, Wolbach and a number of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.
