Read More	Douglas County Gazette December 1930 PIONEER OF DOUGLAS COUNTY IS CALLED Mrs. Louis Zwiebel Had Lived Here Almost Forty Years The death of Mrs. Louis Zwiebel pioneer resident of Douglas county which occurred last Friday morning, was a shock to the entire community as her condition had only been considered serious only a few days. Death was due to bronchial pneumonia which developed from kidney trouble and high blood pressure, she was 73 years of age. Mrs. Zwiebel had lived in the community of Valley for 38 years. With her husband she moved from Shelby county Ohio to Papillion in 1891. In March of the following year they moved to the Zwiebel farm south of Valley where E. F. Zwiebel now lives, living there for 26 years when they moved to town. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church of Valley and active in all its departments. She was a regular Sunday School attendant. Christina Heintz was born March 22, 1857 at Monta, Ohio and April 6 1875 was married to Louis Zwiebel in Shelby county, Ohio. To them were born nine children, two dying in infancy. Martha died in 1916. Mrs. Zwiebel's husband preceded her in death eight years ago. The surviving children are Albert of Springfield; Amel and Edwin Waterloo; Otto Gordon; Laurence Central City; and Mrs. Edith Burke Lincoln. There are 18 grand children. Funeral service held Sunday at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church were largely attended . Rev. W. Frederick Martin of Valley officiated. Interment was in Prospect Hills cemetery and pall bearers were John Monahan, Ben Safford, Ed Lewis, John Foster, Laurence Coy, and F. H. Whitmore.
