Shulty. –Died, at her home in Napoleon township, Friday, Nov. 3rd, 1891, Christena Shulty, aged 21 years, 3 months, and 6 days. She was a victim of typhoid fever and as in most cases of this disease nothing serious was apprehended until a short time before her death. She was sick two months. Her death was an exceedingly sad one – one that is mourned by all. She was one of those good natured souls that always have a pleasant smile and a kind word for everybody, her aim being to make others happy. When brought low to a bed of affliction, she bore all suffering with that same pleasant smile, trusting the rest to Divine Will. She was ready to die and would frequently importune her husband not to mourn for her. The young couple was married about two years ago and entered upon life’s journey with bright prospects. But how different was it from that anticipated! First, the dear wife is called upon to mourn the loss of a dear brother, second the little baby aged three months passes away mid grief – then comes the demise of the loving mother and wife! Truly we are midst trouble. “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.” A husband, mother, sisters, and brother are left to mourn this excellent woman’s loss. A friend.
