James Selander. Mrs. Everett Bergman and Mrs. Marie Martens sang three duets with Mrs. James Selander playing the accompaniments. Mrs. Olof Westrum died in her home here at 5 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, April 22 at the age of 60 years, 5 months, 26 days. Death was caused by complications following a nervous condition, she having been in poor health for over three years and bedfast a little more than a year. Christine Olson was born in Edsbyn, Helsingland, Sweden, Oct. 28, 1881. She migrated to this country at the age of 18 years and located first near Wall Lake where she lived for several years with her uncle, Andrew Erickson. Later she moved to Stratford, where on June 5, 1907, she was united in marriage to Olof Westrum. They made their home on a farm northeast of town until 1928 when they moved to Stratford which has since been their home. Surviving are her husband, one son, Glenn, of Lorimer, three daughters, Mrs. Allie Biersner, Mrs. Herman Long and Miss Velva Westrum, all of Stratford. She was preceded in death by four children who died in infancy and by her parents. Mrs. Westrum was baptized into the Baptist decontamination many years ago and took an active part in church work so long as her health permitted. She was a humble soul who frequently showed a broken spirit of resignation to life's hardships. She had worked hard as a young woman and later as mother of many children. Broken in health and very tired following her years of illness she has left this mortal dwelling place to assume the place prepared for her by the Saviour whom she believed in and whose voice she had learned to know. - Contributed When my days on earth are over; Let me enter into rest.
