LIMING DIED THIS MORNING C.C. Liming, one of the well known residents of Fairfield, died at his home this morning after a very short illness from gall stones. He had been sick only seven days. Mr. Liming, son of John Liming, was 71 years of age, having been born in Marion county, Ohio, December 23d, 1844. While yet young he came to Van Buren county. He enlisted and served in the Civil war. April 2, 1867, he was married to Miss Drusela (sic) Ream, who with five children survive him. The children are Mrs. John Healy, Des Moines, Mrs. Harry Lake, Boston, John M., of Fairfied, C.C. Jr. of Kansas City, and F. O. of Chicago. Mr. Liming was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church and also of George Strong Post, G.A.R. ------------------- Fairfield Daily Journal Monday April 19, 1915 LIMING FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON The funeral services of C.C. Liming were held this afternoon at five o'clock from the home on West Depot street in charge of Dr. C. P. Foreman. The remains were laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery. The funeral services were delayed until this hour awaiting the arrival of the daughter, Mrs. Lake from Boston, Mass. ------------------- Jefferson County Republican Thursday April 22, 1915 Pg. 1 Col. 1 C.C. LIMING C. C. Liming died Saturday morning at the hospital after but a week's illness with gall stones. He was taken to the hospital Friday evening to undergo an operation but his condition was too serious to permit it. The funeral services were held from the home on Depot street Monday afternoon at five o'clock, conducted by Dr. C. P. Foreman of the Presbyterian church, Mr. Liming having long been a faithful member of that church. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Liming was born in Ohio seventy-one years ago and came to Iowa in his youth. He was a veteran of the Civil war. He is survived by his wife and five children. The children are Mrs. John Healy of Des Moines; Mrs. Harry Lake of Boston, Mass.; John M. of Fairfield; C.C. of Kansas City; and F.O. of Chicago.
