Obituary - From a Fostoria Paper- ELDER FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD SATURDAY - The Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Clara Elder, who passed away Wednesday noon at the home of her grandson, Earl Jacobs on South Main Street will be held from St. Wendelin Catholic Church Saturday Morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. A. A. Weber officiating. Interment will be made in Fountain Cemetery. The deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boley and was born in Alvada, April 16, 1843, and passed away at the age of 85 years and 12 days. She was united in marriage to William Elder in Tiffin in 1908 who proceeded her in death a number of years ago. Surviving her loss are the following relatives, two brothers Frank Boley of Hillsboro, Ore., and Joseph Boley of Arcadia, together with the following five grandchildren. Earl Jacob, in whose home she passed away. Mrs. Florence Dray, Mrs. Gertrude Kiser all of this city, Mrs. Clara Mundo of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Bernard Bauer of Tiffin, and nine Great Grandchildren. Elder who died at noon yesterday at the home of her grandson Earl Jacobs 617 South Main Street will be held at Nine a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin's Church, The services will be conducted by Rev. A. A. Weber, burial in Fountain Cemetery. Mrs. Elder was born in Alvada on April 16, 1843. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boley. Her age at death was 85 years and two days. She was twice (actually 6 times) Married, her second husband being the late William Elder to whom she was married in Tiffin 1908. Those who survive are two brothers, Frank Boley of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Joseph Boley of Arcadia. There are five grandchildren: Earl Jacob at whose home she died, Mrs. Florence Dray and Mrs. Gertrude Kiser of this city, Mrs. Clara Mundo of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Celia Bauer of Tiffin. Nine Great Grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Elder was a member of St. Wendelin's Church. Many years ago she was identified with the house of David Movement in Fostoria, not as a member but as an unwilling associate with the cult that was being organized here by "King Benjamin Purnell". During the recent prosecution and trials of "King," Ben in Michigan Mrs. Elder furnished considerable information for the State to an official who came to this city to interview her.
