Description	:	The Hebron Journal, June 25, 1920 Clara Etta Roderick was born February 10, 1873 near Pontiac, Ill., coming with her parents to Hubbell, when eight years of age. On October 9, 1890, she was united in marriage to Howard Pike. They resided at Chicago for a number of years, at which place she united with the Aubum Park M. E. Church. In later years they moved to Centerville, Tenn., where she organized and was superintendent of a Sunday School. Read More	The Hebron Journal, June 25, 1920 Clara Etta Roderick was born February 10, 1873 near Pontiac, Ill., coming with her parents to Hubbell, when eight years of age. On October 9, 1890, she was united in marriage to Howard Pike. They resided at Chicago for a number of years, at which place she united with the Aubum Park M. E. Church. In later years they moved to Centerville, Tenn., where she organized and was superintendent of a Sunday School. Eight years ago they moved to Houston, Tex; where she was living at the time of her death, which was due to Heart failure and occurred Friday morning, June 11, 1920. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, an aged father, five sisters and two brothers, the mother having passed away seventeen years before. To know Clara was to love her. Her sweet and loving disposition and her ministration of love and mercy made her a favorite wherever she went. Her faith and trust in her Heavenly Father was so strong that she said many times, "I an ready to go anytime." The funeral was preached Wednesday at 2:30 at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. Gwinn. The relatives and friends have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss. But she has gone home to Heaven where "there will be no sorrow there." The Lord our God will wipe away all tears.
