Clarence graduated from Ryderwood and joined the Air Force where he served for four years in Moses Lake, WA, California, Texas, and Alaska as an aircraft mechanic. He married the love of his life, Alice L. Chrisman on June 20, 1959, in Winlock, Wa where they made their home and raised three children. Chrisman Clarence Hoven passed away following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 77 years old. Clarence graduated from Ryderwood and joined the Air Force where he served for four years in Moses Lake, WA, California, Texas, and Alaska as an aircraft mechanic. He married the love of his life, Alice L. Chrisman on June 20, 1959, in Winlock, Wa where they made their home and raised three children. Clarence worked for Weyerhaeuser for 33 years, first as a green chain man and finally as a supervisor. He was a self-taught tinkerer who could fix anything and remodeled a two bedroom house into the home his family cherishes. He loved hunting, trips to the beach, clamming, his dahlia garden, his John Deere tractors and spending as much time as possible with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Clarence is survived by his wife of 53 years, three brothers and his three children. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and numerous extended family. [Full obit at TownCrier, 28 Jan 2013]
