Description	:	From the May 9, 1974 issue of the Atchison Daily Globe: "Clarence R. Blakley, 65, route 2, died yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He entered the hospital two weeks ago. He had been in failing health for an extended period. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sawin-Dyer chapel with the Rev. John Wright, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. The casket will lie in state at the Sawin-Dyer Mortuary until the time of... Mr. Blakley was born at Rushville June 18, 1908, a son of John and Julia Barton Blakley, and attended Buchanan county schools. He and Lilah Schrader were married in Atchison July 26, 1951, and had lived in the Atchison area since 1954. He was an employee of Shannon township, until he became ill. Surviving are Mrs. Blakley of the home; a son, James C. Blakley, Willamina, Ore.; two stepsons, Doyle Schrader, Kansas City, Kas., and Donald Schrader, Austin, Tex.; three step daughters, Mrs. Darlene Tinklepaugh, Kansas City, Kas., Mrs. Donna Buckosky, Omaha, and Mrs. Doris Lawrence, Grandview, Mo.; two brothers, Charles and Ollie Blakley, Rushville; a sister, Mrs. John Roberts, North Kansas City, Mo.; 30 grand-children and two great grand-children."
