Description	:	Clarence Ray Farrand was born to William Henry and Annie Bell Farrand at Dell Rapids, South Dakota on July 6, 1894 and went to his Heavenly reward from the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska on February 24, 1965 at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 18 days. As a youth, Mr. Farrand gave his life to Christ at a tent meeting and was baptised (sic) by Pastor Fred E. Stocton in the First Baptist Church of Madison, South Dakota. He was united in marriage to Zoe Marie Page of Dell Rapids, South Dakota on June 3, 1916 at Madison South Dakota by the Pastor Ray L. Palmerton. To this union were born Henry E. and Floyd Dean Farrand, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. Raymond (Blanche) Statz of Nelson, Nebraska; Mrs. L.F. (Vivian) Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa; and Clarence R. Farrand of Harvard, Nebraska. After his marriage he lived with his wife and family at Chester, South Dakota until moving to Superior in 1929. He went to work at the Ideal Cement Plant in March of that year. He continued his work at the Ideal Cement Plant and was known as a very faithful employee and a good workman, until his illness which began on January 21, 1957. In April of 1932 he transferred his church membership to the First Baptist Church of Superior, Nebraska. He remained faithful to his church and his Lord until the time of his death. Mr. Farrand was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers: Llewleyn, Johnny, Eber, Henry Gale, Carl and an infant brother; and two sisters, Abbie and Selma. Those that have been left, who have been blessed by his travels through his life, besides his beloved wife and children, are his five sons and daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; also four sisters: Mrs. Esther Dempster of Huron, South Dakota; Mrs. Delphine Huskinson of Topeka, Kansas; Mrs. Fred (Bina) Loveland and Mrs. Alfred (Eunice) Hagen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
