Description	:	Clement Paitz was buried from the St. Mary's church Monday morning with the Rev. James McSweeney officiating at the funeral service. While his family was living near Elm Creek, Clem was born at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, to Jake and Helem Zimmer Paitz. He was their youngest child. While his family was living near Elm Creek, Clem was born at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, to Jake and Helem Zimmer Paitz. He was their youngest child. After living near Amherst, the family moved to a farm near Pleasanton where Clem attended school. He was graduated from Pleasanton High School in May of 1957. While in high school, Clem participated in in football, basketball, and track. He loved to sing and was part of the glee club and small vocal groups. Clem was a member of the drama club and participated in one-act plays, as well as the junior and senior plays. He was an active member of the student council and annual staff. One of Clem's favorite classes was the dance class taught by Mrs. Alcorn. He and his friends attended dances in Ravenna and at school parties where they especially loved to polka. In July, Clem went to Westminister, California to visit a sister where he obtained employment in a dairy planning to save his money so he could buy a car. On October 15 he drove to San Diego to visit Thane Darby, an old school mate of his. On the way home an accident occurred near Long Beach, California which wrecked the car and took his life. Besides his mother and father he leaves three brothers: Leo of Miller; Joe, Hazard; and Gregory of Pleasanton; four sisters: Mrs. Theresa Pickering, Westminister, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Shiers of Kearney; Mis. Rita Busch, Pleasanton and Monica who teaches in Lexington, and a grandmother, Mrs. Marie Zimmer of Litchfield. Pallbearers were Bob Karsten, Harold Plante, Norman Nickman, Fred Sittle, Charles Zimmer, and Dennis Gibbons.
