Giltner, 64, of 1229 Gurley avenue, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday at the Ottumwa hospital after a long illness. The son of Edward and Mary Miller Giltner, he was born July 17, 1894, at Bladensburg. He had lived in Wapello County all his life and had worked as an auto mechanic. He had lived in Wapello County all his life and had worked as an auto mechanic. Surviving are a son, Gerald Giltner of Ottumwa; three brothers, Ray and Charles Giltner, both of Ottumwa, and Lloyd Giltner of Agency; and two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Warder and Mrs. Rita Hickman, both of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eva Carter, a daughter, Dorothy, and a son, Everett, who were killed in an auto accident in 1941, and infant daughter, and his parents. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Reece funeral home. Orval Smith of the Ward Street Gospel hall will be in charge. Burial will be in the Agency cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Giltner, Bruce Giltner, Lloyd Warder, Earl Young, Freddie Young, and Millard Handy.
