Description	:	Cleo Ray Doggett, the son of Ben and Eunice (Jacobs) Doggett , was born on July 30, 1924 near Nelson, Nebraska. He passed away on September 9, 2005 at the Nelson good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 9 days. Cleo attended the Highland and Kelley rural schools in Nuckolls County. He was married to Laverne Swanson. He later married Helen Petty on December 23, 1972. Read More	Cleo Ray Doggett, the son of Ben and Eunice (Jacobs) Doggett , was born on July 30, 1924 near Nelson, Nebraska. He passed away on September 9, 2005 at the Nelson good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 9 days. Cleo attended the Highland and Kelley rural schools in Nuckolls County. He was married to Laverne Swanson. He later married Helen Petty on December 23, 1972. Cleo lived in the Chicago area until 1976 when he moved back to Nelson. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson and the Nelson Amercian Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, three brothers, Oscar, Clifford and Ben and one sister Ruth Winchester. He is survived by his children, Glenn Doggett and wife Sharon of Oak Lawn, Illinois and Dixie Seddon and husband David of Winslow, Arkansas. Step daughters, Mary Culberston and husband Rollan and Willa Schutte and husband Paul all of Nelson, Nebraska, step-son, David Petty and wife Kathy of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, 8 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 16 step-great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and 3 step great-great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 10:30 AM from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Diehl officiating. Music was "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagles Wings", with Debi Garrison as soloist and Carlita Erickson as Organist. Visitation is Monday, September 12, 2005 from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Pallbearers were Mike Lynch, Allen Schutte, John Schutte, Tom Dahl, Mike Culberston and Royce Schott. Honorary Pallbearers were Howard Olsen, Jim Menke, Floyd Tucker, Gordon Meyer, Alvin Schott, John Doggett, Bob Frahm and Pete Farver. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Memorials may go in care of the family. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
