The remains were brought to Holbrook, where the funeral was held from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. E. C. Staley, officiating. assisted by Rev. Thomas. Clinton David Lindley was born in Koscuiskco County, Indiana, October 7, 1872. and died in University Hospital at Boulder, Colo., at 3: 35 p. m., July 29, 1918, at the age of 45 years 9 months and 22 days. He had. been a great sufferer for many months. The immediate cause of his death was congestion of the lungs. He, with his daughter Irene, went to Colorado July 25, in hopes of benefitting his health. All was done for him that loving hands could do, but there was no cure for him. He came to Kansas at the age of fifteen years and resided with his uncle Cyrus Lindley of Hill City for a few years. He then came to Nebraska where he resided until his death. He was united in marriage to Mahala Baxter at Holbrook, Nebraska, January 26, 1898. To this union were born six Children, all of whom survive him. In November 1911. he was converted and united with the Methodist church at Snowball Schoolhouse. He has lived a faithful Christian life ever since. He leaves to mourn his death a wife, mother, two sisters, one brother, two daughters. and four sons. Leroy, Russell, Benjamin and Cecil, besides numerous friends and relatives.
