Clinton Lundquist was born October 4, 1915, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Lundquist (sic), seven miles northeast of the city. Besides his parents he leaves two brothers, Gerald and Donald. He underwent an operation two weeks ago at the Jefferson county hospital and the second operation last Thursday. His condition was considered serious and his death occurred Saturday night. The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral Home. Fairfield Ledger Tuesday September 23, 1935 Pg. 3 Col. 3 OBITUARY Clinton G. Londquist, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Verle Londquist, was born Oct. 4, 1915 in Penn township, Jefferson county, Iowa, and lived his entire life in the Richwoods community. He received his education in the local schools having graduated from the Pleasant Plain High school with the class of 1935 on May 23, just four months ago. On Sept. 10 he was stricken with illness and on Sept. 14 he underwent an operation, though seriously illl he improved for a weeks' time but as a last resort submitted to a second operation on Sept. 19 battling cheerfully and bravely for his life. God had other plans and he was called to his reward on Saturday evening at 9:00 o'clock when he passed away at the Jefferson county hospital after two weeks of intense suffering. Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Gerald and Donald, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Hoskins of Pleasant Plain and the following uncles and aunts: Mr. and Mrs. Seth Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ireland and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hedge and many other relatives and friends to whon he had endeared himelf. One sister, Lucille, preceded him in death several years ago (sic. she died Nov. 11, 1916).
