Read More	MOWRY, CLINTON LEON—Clinton Leon Mowry, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David C. Mowry, was born in Geneva, Neb., December 11, 1902, and he resided in Geneva all his life. He graduated from Geneva high school in 1920. He was associated with his father in radio, electrical, and canvas work, and after the father's death, he continued in that work. He passed away Monday, March 16, 1942, aged 39 year, 3 months and 5 days. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Tom Wagner of Geneva and Mrs. John Erickson of Nampa, Idaho, and a brother, James B. Mowry, of Peoria, Ill. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Thursday, March 19, at the Hrubesky Funeral Home, Rev. Phil B. Wahl officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal March 19th, 1942 page 5. ALSO: This community was shocked Monday afternoon upon learning the body of Clinton Mowry had been found in his shop. Death had been caused by a self-inflicted bullet wound. The act was committed apparently sometime Sunday night. The body was found by a nephew, Richard Wagner, who went to the shop shortly after 2 o'clock. The door was locked, but Richard had a key and opened the door and went in. He found the body just back of the door that led from the office to the shop in the rear. The gun used was a thirty-two caliber revolver. The bullet was fired through the roof of the mouth. Sheriff Steinacher was called at once, but his investigation showed a clear case of suicide, and no inquest was deemed necessary. Mr. Mowry had been in poor health for some time, and became discouraged over ever regaining it. About two weeks ago while driving to Lincoln with Clement Hennessey, he lost consciousness near the viaduct near Friend, and Mr. Hennessey was able to get hold of the wheel just in time to avoid a serious accident. Mr. Mowry was last seen alive about 12:30 p. m. Monday when he went to the Maryland café for a lunch. On leaving, he told the folks there goodbye, but nothing was thought of it.
