She was united in marriage March 20, 1882, to David C. Mowry at Summit, Neb., to which union nine children were born. She came to Nebraska in 1870 and to this community in 1886, where she made her home till death. Brown was born December 21, 1862, at Folton, Ia. She died at Lincoln, Neb. April 14, 1925, aged 62 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was united in marriage March 20, 1882, to David C. Mowry at Summit, Neb., to which union nine children were born. She came to Nebraska in 1870 and to this community in 1886, where she made her home till death. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church of Geneva on November 30, 1919, of which church she remained a faithful and devoted member till death. She is survived by her husband, one brother, J. H. Brown of Marshalltown, Ia., one sister, Mrs. Ida Stickwell of Ong, Neb., five children, Mrs. Genevieve Erickson and Mrs. Martha Plemmons of Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. Verna Jane Wagner and Clinton Leon Mowry of Geneva, Neb., and J. B. Mowry of Peoria, Ill, and nine grandchildren. The Nebraska Signal April 23rd, 1926 page 1. ************************************** DOUBLE FUNERAL The morning of April 14, 1925, while getting breakfast at the home of her son-in-law, Floyd Woolsey, in Lincoln Neb., Mrs. David C. Mowry of Geneva, Neb., fell against the gas range and partly turned on the gas, the accident resulting in her death by asphyxiation. Mrs. Mowry was in Lincoln because of the very critical illness of her daughter Thora, wife of Floyd Woolsey. March 31 a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Woolsey at a hospital in Lincoln. Mrs. Mowry was spending the day time with her daughter at the hospital and Mr. Woolsey was staying at the hospital at night. Mrs. Woolsey died at the hospital at 1:20 a. m. Friday, April 17, 1925. The funeral of Mrs. Mowry had been set for Friday afternoon. When news came of the death of Mrs. Woolsey the funeral service was postponed until 3 p. m. Sunday. The body of Mrs. Woolsey was brought to Geneva and the double funeral service was held for mother and daughter at the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva, at 3 p. m. Sunday by the pastor Rev. D. T. Morton. The church was full of sorrowing friends, many of whom had come considerable distances. Geneva business people joined with organizations and with friends in sending beautiful floral tributes.
