Mowry was born at Geneva, Neb., September 10, 1904. She died at Lincoln, Neb., april 18, 1925, aged 20 years, 7 months, and 8 days. She graduated from the Geneva high school, with the class of 1922. She was married to Floyd Woolsey of Lincoln February 18, 1923. She is survived by her husband, an infant daughter, Jeanne Marie, her father; three sisters; and two brothers. *********************************************************** DOUBLE FUNERAL The morning of April 14, 1925, while getting breakfast at the home of her son-in-law, Floyd Woolsey, in Lincoln Neb., Mrs. David C. Mowry of Geneva, Neb., fell against the gas range and partly turned on the gas, the accident resulting in her death by asphyxiation. Mrs. Mowry was in Lincoln because of the very critical illness of her daughter Thora, wife of Floyd Woolsey. March 31 a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Woolsey at a hospital in Lincoln. Mrs. Mowry was spending the day time with her daughter at the hospital and Mr. Woolsey was staying at the hospital at night. Mrs. Woolsey died at the hospital at 1:20 a. m. Friday, April 17, 1925. The funeral of Mrs. Mowry had been set for Friday afternoon. When news came of the death of Mrs. Woolsey the funeral service was postponed until 3 p. m. Sunday. The body of Mrs. Woolsey was brought to Geneva and the double funeral service was held for mother and daughter at the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva, at 3 p. m. Sunday by the pastor Rev. D. T. Morton. The church was full of sorrowing friends, many of whom had come considerable distances. Geneva business people joined with organizations and with friends in sending beautiful floral tributes. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
