Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Belle Spring were held Wednesday November 30, 1966, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sutphen Funeral Home with Rev. Nadim E. Sailkaly officiating. Pall bearers were Paul Bauer, Paul Roberts, Paul Spring, Was Scholey, Dale Moser, and Rolly Spring. Flower bearers were Mrs. Alice Swan and Mrs. Myrtle Wheeler. The music was by Gerald Maxwell accompanied by Mrs. Mabel Dunn. The Selection was “We Are Going Down The Valley.” Concluding services and interment was held at the Methodist Grove Cemetery near Mt. Zion. Mrs. Cora Belle Spring was born March 12, 1889 in Platte County, Missouri. She was the daughter of John and Lou Lamar Roberts, who moved to Iowa early in the century and settled around Iveyville. She was married to John Spring on April 10, 1910 and lived in the vicinity of Guss and Brooks. In 1951, Mr. and Mrs. Spring moved to Villisca. To this marriage were born three sons and one daughter; Clyde, living in Prescott, Iowa; Roy living in Brooks, Iowa; Glen, who passed away in 1950; and a daughter, Margeleen Naven of Brooks, Iowa. Mrs. Spring was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Villisca. Mr. and Mrs. Spring celebrated their 50th (Golden) Wedding Anniversary in 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Glen, and one sister. She is survived by her husband, John, Her two sons, Clyde and his wife Winnie and Roy and his wife Marvaleen; her daughter, Margelene and her husband Ed Naven; four sisters and two brothers; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Cora Spring died of a sudden stroke on Monday, November 28, 1966 at 2:15 p.m. at the Rosary Hospital, Corning, Iowa.
