She came to Douglas County in 1902 and married Walter Buckingham at Waterville on January 18, 1905. The Buckinghams celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary at their Bridgeport home this year. Their first home had been a homestead on Buckingham Flats where they operated a wheat and cattle ranch. California lured them away in 1922, but they returned to buy back their original home in 1929. In 1942 they moved from the ranch to Bridgeport Bar, and in 1959 to Bridgeport. Mrs. Buckingham is survived by her husband, Walter, sons Steven and Ralph, all of Bridgeport, and Arthur of Brewster; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A member of the Assembly of God, her funeral services were held at that church Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Claire Richards officiating. Burial followed at Bridgeport Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under direction of William Barnes.
