Read More	Delphos Republican, 10 January 1957: Cornelia Mae Jamison Cornelia Mae McCollough, a daughter of William and Martha McCollough, was born March 10, 1882, at the family'’s farm home southwest of Glasco in Cloud County, Kansas She passed away at 11:15 pm on January 3, 1957, at the home of her son Earl, in Delphos, Kansas, where she had made her home for the past four years. At the time of her death she was 74 years, 10 months and seven days of age. On December 13, 1899, she was united in marriage with Ed Lee Jamison of Glasco. They set up housekeeping in Glasco, later moving to a farm in Ottawa County near the Bohemian Hall. Seven daughters and three sons came to bless the life of this home. Four of these children – Wilma, Dale, Neva and Freda – proceeded their mother in death. Mr. Jamison passed away on July 21, 1916, and his death made it necessary for Mrs. Jamison to be bread-winner, mother and father all to this family. She fulfilled these duties faithfully and loyally until all the children were grown. In 1934, she moved to Glasco and lived with her mother, Mrs. Will McCollough, until 1942, when she moved to Salina, remaining there until 1945. She then returned to the Glasco and Delphos communities where she spent the remaining years of her life. Mrs. Jamison was not only a loyal and faithful mother, but also a kind and loving friend and neighbor, never sparing of herself to make the lives of her family and friends better and happier. She was always ready to lend a hand in time of trouble or care. She was a member of the Glasco Methodist Church, and her life was an expression of her Christian faith. The following children survive their mother: Mrs. Velma Garst of Mankato, Rarl Jamison of Delphos, Mrs. VE Barker of Clearwater, Mrs. Leola Jellison and Mrs. Raymond Ginder of Salina. Additional survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leota Lang of Asherville; and a brother, Thorald McCollough of Glasco. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, other close relatives and many, many friends. Funeral services were held at the Glasco Methodist Church on Monday, January 7, 1957, at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. John Baker officiating. Pallbearers were Ted Jamison, Don Jamison, Lewis Lee Jamison, Max Lee Jamison, Darrell Garst and James Garst. Interment was made in the Glasco Cemetery.
