Dagmar Olena Feldt Tordrup, one of nine children of Lars Nielsen Feldt and Ann Marie Jurgensen, was born at Baaring Pr Norre Aaby, Fyn, Denmark, August 11, 1886. Mrs. Tordrup died Saturday at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 15 days. Dagmar Olena Feldt Tordrup, one of nine children of Lars Nielsen Feldt and Ann Marie Jurgensen, was born at Baaring Pr Norre Aaby, Fyn, Denmark, August 11, 1886. In 1907, at the age of 21, she came to the United States with her family, settling in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where two of her brothers were already established. She visited her brother, Carl and his wife in Ruskin in 1912. During this visit, she met Christen Tordrup. The next year, March 15, 1913, she and Chris married in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They moved to a farm south of Ruskin and started their life together. To this union, four sons and three daughters were born. Having jointly decided to adopt America as their permanent home, in 1916, he applied for citizenship. This action gave Mrs. Tordrup and their two oldest sons, Andrew and Carl, automatic citizenship. They were proud of their new homeland even though the adjustments were great. She resided in Nuckolls County the remaining years of her life. She received pleasure and comfort from her faith in God and membership in the Lutheran faith, being a charter member of the Centennial Lutheran Church of Superior. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Nels, Carl, Walter and Alfred; two sisters, both named Carolina; three sons; Andrew, Carl and Gilbert; one grandson and her husband, Christen, who died, November 7, 1976. Survivors are one son, August, Kenosha, Wisc.; three daughters, Mrs. James Fairless (Ina) of Kennewick, Wash.; Mrs. Dick Madison (Ella) of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Burdette Hanson (Margaret Ann) of Superior; one brother, Emil Feldt, King City, Calif; one sister, Gerda Nielsen, San Raphael, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
