Mr. Lockridge was the owner of a grocery store for many years before his retirement. Services were held today at the Linn Grove church with burial in Webb cemetery. # # # February 8, 1955 Record Herald & Indianola Tribune Prole, Jan. 31 – Two funerals of well-known people were held at Linn Grove Methodist church the past week, a brother and a sister. They were Daniel R. Lockridge of Spring Hill and Mrs. Lana Crow of Martensdale. Services for Mr. Lockridge were held Tuesday afternoon. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Keithel Smith, where he made his home the past 34 years. He as a member of the firm of Alexander and Lockridge who operated a general merchandise store in Prole for many years and later both engaged in farming. Burial was made in Webb cemetery. Mrs. Lana Crow, his sister, died Wednesday at 2 a.m. at her Martensdale home following an extended illness. Services were held at Linn Grove church Saturday afternoon. Survivors are three sons, Russell and Howard of Martensdale and Bruce of Prole, three daughters, Bessie Lickteig, Inez Flannery, and Ruth Nuzum and a sister, Mrs. Kepley. # # # Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Linn Grove Methodist Church for Dan Lockridge, 88, life long Warren County resident. Mr. Lockridge, a farmer of the Spring Hill vicinity, passed away Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Keithel Smith, after suffering a stroke six days previously. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Smith, and several grandchildren. The service was conducted by the Rev. Milo Morris of Norwalk. Interment was in the Webb Grove [Webb] cemetery.
