Description	:	CENTRAL CITY — Darlene Ann Bridger, 86, of Central City died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Central City Care Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward. Darlene was born on Sept. 30, 1930, to Homer and Lily (Johnson) Horn in Fullerton. She grew up in Fullerton and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1947. Read More	CENTRAL CITY — Darlene Ann Bridger, 86, of Central City died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Central City Care Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward. Darlene was born on Sept. 30, 1930, to Homer and Lily (Johnson) Horn in Fullerton. She grew up in Fullerton and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1947. She married Donald Bridger on Jan. 19, 1948, in Iowa. Darlene helped out on the farm and raised seven children. The couple moved to Central City in the early 1960’s. She also worked at Dukes, Linderman and Central City Care Center nursing homes. She then decided to learn how to drive a truck with her husband. Darlene enjoyed playing bunko and tripoley. She was well known for her homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and noodles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Larry and Joyce Bridger of Hanson, Randy and Marvis Bridger of Fullerton, Jim and Vicki Bridger of Aurora, Colo., and Bill Bridger of Central City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Kent Kuhn of Holdrege and Pat and Larry Clifton of Stillwater, Okla.; one sister, Donna Mate of Central City; one brother-in-law, Ralph and Ruby Bridger of Belgrade; one sister-in-law, Johnnita Horn of Grand Island; and 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Richard and David Bridger; one grandchild, Tracie Bridger; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Bridger; and two great-grandchildren, William Bridger and Mileck Clifton.
