Goodrich, aged 74 years, 1 month and 25 days. He was an honest and faithful Christian, kind and of a cheerful temperament. He was born in Otsego county, New York, in 1835, and lived there over 50 years. He came west into Kansas in 1885, since which time he has lived near Emporia. He was widely known and leaves a large circle of sorrowing friends. His last words were, "Good-bye, I'm going home. I want to go for I am ready."
