Description	:	Dean Bredthauer Rites At Lutheran Church Funeral services for Dean Bredthauer, who died in a Grand Island hospital Tuesday morning of last week following a one-car accident at North Loup the previous night, were held at the Zion Lutheran church in Scotia Thursday afternoon at 1:30. Mrs. Lester Wells, Mrs. Leonard Wells, Sharee Klein and Mrs. Ronald Johnson sang, accompanied at the organ by Miss Marleen Beilke. Pallbearers were Victor Wegner, Edgar Stillman, M. G. A number of members of Dean’s Scotia Consolidated Schools 1938 graduating class were present for the rites. Dean Wellington Bredthauer was born Dec. 12, 1918, to Henry Bredthauer and his wife, Cecile nee Daily. On May 27, 1926, he was received into membership of Zion Lutheran church by the rite of holy baptism. In October of 1938 he renewed his baptismal covenant in the rite of confirmation. On June 4, 1937, he was married to Faye LaFern Mitchell whom he leaves to mourn his early departure out of this life, besides five children: Patricia Eng of Angleton, Texas; Allen Bredthauer and Mary Babcock of Lincoln, Nebr., and Barbara and Kevin at home; four grandchildren; his mother, Cecile Bredthauer; two brothers, Dale Bredthauer of Grand Island, Nebr., and William of Scotia; and many friends. He passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 45 years and 25 days in a Grand Island hospital where he had been taken following a car accident during the night. What God ordains is always good, This truth remains unshaken. Though sorrow, need, or death be mine, I shall not be forsaken.
