Description	:	Deanna Larzalere, 78, passed away on June 5th, 2020 after a valiant 5-year battle with vascular dementia. Deanna was born July 2nd, 1941 to George and Irene Martin, in Glasco, KS. After graduating from Glasco High School, she attended business school in Salina, KS. There she met Jack Larzalere and they wed in December of 1961. They were happily married for 59 years. She also... Read More	Deanna Larzalere, 78, passed away on June 5th, 2020 after a valiant 5-year battle with vascular dementia. Deanna was born July 2nd, 1941 to George and Irene Martin, in Glasco, KS. After graduating from Glasco High School, she attended business school in Salina, KS. There she met Jack Larzalere and they wed in December of 1961. They were happily married for 59 years. They had two children, Brent and Angela. After having children, Deanna quit working. Deanna enjoyed being a homemaker and full time mom and grandmother. Her family was the light of her life. She also enjoyed traveling, tennis and golf, as well as watching KU and Kansas City sports teams compete. Although not a natural athlete, she became a pretty salty golfer and tennis player, bringing home numerous tournament trophies. Deanna is preceded in death by her parents George and Irene Martin and her brothers, Dick, Denny and Darrel Martin, sister-in-law Mary Martin, and brother and sister-in-law Bob and Patsy Jones. She is survived by her husband Jack, son Brent (Amy) and daughter Angela (Oliver) Nielsen, brother Don Martin, brother-in-law, Richard Larzalere, sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Louise and Betty Martin, grandchildren Hayden and Reilli Nielsen, as well as many nieces and nephews. Through the progression of her disease, Deanna never lost her spunky personality, love for diet Coke, chocolate, and all things junk food. Deanna is loved beyond measure, she will be missed, but will be with us always. Memorial services will be a 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glasco. A rosary service will take place at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Dementia Society of America.
