Rolland and his wife, Eunice Wells Rolland, early Osage County residents. She entered into rest Friday, April 12, 1968 at the Chas. E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City where she had been a patient for about 10 days. At the time of her passing, she was 76 years, 4 months and 14 days of age. Still Hospital in Jefferson City where she had been a patient for about 10 days. At the time of her passing, she was 76 years, 4 months and 14 days of age. She grew up in the Mint Hill community where she attended the Liberty Public School and the Mint Hill Community church and Sunday School. On October 18, 1916, she was united in marriage at Mint Hill by the late Rev. Hillard Matthews to Wilson Shirley, who preceded her in death just 10 days ago. She is survived by two brothers, Boyd Holland (sp.??) of Linn, and Cris Holland of Hermann and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Barnes of St. Louis, and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. She was a member for many years of the First United Pentecostal Church at Gasconade, Mo. Mrs. Shirley lived her entire life in the Chamois and Mint Hill communities where she and Mr. Shirley were engaged in farming and stock raising. She was one of the most highly respected persons in the community. Funeral services were conducted at the Morton Chapel in Linn Monday, April 15, with her pastor Rev. Alexander Raby officiating.
