She grew up in Essex, Iowa and attended school there, graduating from Essex High School in 1971. She is survived by her father, Fred Olson and his wife, Carol of Essex, Iowa; brothers, Darwin Olson and his wife Nancy of Makato, Kansas; Tom Olson and his wife Jennifer of Shenandoah, Iowa; Bob Olson of Essex, Iowa, and a sister Sharon Buckminister and her husband Kim of Falls City, Nebraska; twelve nieces and nephews; also two step sister, Cheryl MacDonald of Shenandoah, Iowa and Janice Bellew and husband Allan of Conway, Arkansas; two step brothers, Gerald MacDonald and wife Beverly of College Springs, Iowa and Bill MacDonald and wife Joan of Charlotte, Iowa, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
