Read More	LITTLE GIRL IS CALLED BY DEATH LAST THURSDAY Last Bites Held For Denise Robertson Sunday Afternoon The sincere sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Robertson and family in the loss of their daughter, Denise, on Thursday, November 29, in St. Joseph Hospital, Sioux City, following a brain operation, at the age of five years and four months. She had been ill only a brief time. Denise Olivia Robertson was born July 29, 1957, in Akron. She was baptized at the Union Creek Lutheran church August 18, 1957, and enrolled in the Sunday school there at the age of two years. This year she enrolled in the Kindergarten class of Akron Community School. Surviving to mourn her departure are: her parents, Jay and Opal Robertson; her sisters, JoEllen and Beth; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sommervold of Akron, and Mrs. Ruth Robertson, of Le Mars; her great grandmother, Mrs. Emma Dean, of Le Mars; uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relatives beside her many friends. Funeral services were held in Union Creek Lutheran church Sunday afternoon, Pastor David Roy officiating. Mrs. Henry Fickbohm was organist. A quartet of girls, comprised of Paulette Ericson, Nancy Hultgren, Lillian Jacobs and Cathy Miller, sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and “Jesus Loves Me." The large congregation sang together. “Children of the Heavenly Father,” at the conclusion of the services. Pallbearers were: Nicky Manning, John Robertson, Alan Sommervold, David Tone, Timothy Tone and Warren Wilkens. Interment was in the Union Creek Cemetery.
