Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Lemley was born July 1, 1921 (sic. headstone inscription uses year 1920) at Webster, the son of Omar C. and Ona Bell Lemley. Reared in Keokuk County, he was a graduate of Sigourney High School. Lemley was married Feb. 29, 1940 to Ruby Augerer. Mr. and Mrs. Lemley were appointed steward and matron of the County Home Nov. 29, 1963. They succeeded Lemley's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Carold Lemley. Surviving are his widow and three daughters; Mrs. Mike Barker and Mrs. Robert Bradshaw, both of Sigourney; and Peggy, at home. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ona Lemley, Fairfield; four grandchildren and the following brothers and sister; Morris Lemley, Primghar: Carold Lemley, Spirit Lake; and Mrs. Harold Patterson, Cedar Falls. Lemley was preceded in death by his father. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
