He passed away June 30, 2004 in Chico, Calif. at the age of 84. After moving to California, Donald began a career in farming, working for 50 years before his retirement in Butte County. Donald leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Vivien Bultema; two brothers, John R. Bultema of Richvale, Calif. and Jim Bultema of Durham, Calif., as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Carroll and sister Alice Van Elderen. Visitation for Donald is set for Friday, July 2nd, from 6-8 p.m. at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Park Saturday, July 3rd at 9 a.m. with a memorial service to follow 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chico Evangelical Free Church Memorial Fund. Published in Chico Enterprise-Record on July 1, 2004.
