GOODWIN was born May 14, 1928 in Fairfield, the son of Earl and Flossie ADAMS GOODWIN, Sr. He married Bette Lou MILLER on Nov. 15, 1947 in Fairfield. He had lived his entire life in Jefferson County. He was employed as a setup man at Dexter Co. for 43 yrs., was a veteran of the US Army in the Korean conflict and a member of Foursquare Gospel Church. Surviving are his wife; a daughter Lucinda GOODWIN of Fairfield; three grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Jr. of Fairfield and Albert of Chicago; 2 sisters, Mildred BATES of Fairfield and Violet STEINECK of Ottumwa. Julia COLLINS of Fairfield is his aunt. His parents and a sister Dorothy St. CLAIR preceded him in death.
