He was born September 07, 1926 in Ridgeville Township to the late Milton and Arvada (Leininger) Sigg. On May 2, 1954 he married Mildred Rohrs at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Read More	Donald E. Sigg, 89, of Napoleon, Ohio died Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice. He was born September 07, 1926 in Ridgeville Township to the late Milton and Arvada (Leininger) Sigg. On May 2, 1954 he married Mildred Rohrs at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Don was a 1944 graduate of Ridgeville High School. He served in the United States Army Air Force from 1945-1946. He worked as the plant superintendent at Bil-Jax in Archbold, retiring in 1990 after 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, where he was Council secretary, Financial secretary, and was a member of the church choir. Don enjoyed music and sang for numerous weddings throughout his lifetime. He also served on the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy Board of trustees for 14 years and the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy Foundation Board for 6 years. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; children, Daniel (Karole) Sigg of Swanton, Mark (Jolene) Sigg, and Janet (Ken) Meyer both of Napoleon; grandchildren, Katherine (Michael) Rex, Lindsey (Andrew) Gauggel, Amanda Meyer, Micah Sigg, Melissa Sigg; and a great granddaughter, Eleanor Rex. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur (Viola) Sigg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Interment will follow at the church cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Ridgeville American Legion Post. Visitation will be held Friday from 3 - 8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials to Filling Memorial Home of Mercy, St. Paul's Memorial Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice.
