He was born in Henry County, Ohio on November 4, 1930 to Henry and Edna (Freytag) Baden. Don was a graduate of Ridgeville High School, where he was a member of the Henry County League Championship basketball team. He was a member... Read More	Donald H. Baden, 90, of Archbold, Ohio and formerly of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Fulton County Health Center. He was born in Henry County, Ohio on November 4, 1930 to Henry and Edna (Freytag) Baden. Don was a graduate of Ridgeville High School, where he was a member of the Henry County League Championship basketball team. He married Laura Miller on June 15, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Freedom Township. Don was a lifelong farmer and also worked for Von Deylen Plumbing and Heating for 34 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Don enjoyed painting and woodworking; he was especially talented with intarsia wood projects. Don is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Laura; children, Rick (Barb), Bruce (Susan), Terri (Bill) Snyder, Jeff (Laura) and Brent (Denise); 14 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Hesterman, Margaret Cordes and Norma Jean Pollock; brother-in-law, Arnold Miller; and sister-in-law, Ruth Knierim. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Rolland; and sister, Bernadine Buchhop. Friends and family will be received at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorial may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, Township, or the Ridgeville Township Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences and messages may be shared with the family at rodenbergergray.com. Due to the current health conditions surrounding COVID-19, masks will be required to attend services or visitation in accordance with the State.
