Davis, 60 of R.D 1, Salem Church Road, who was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Sunday at Rochester Hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home. Mr. Davis was born May 3, 1918 in East Palestine, the son of Clyde J. and Virginia Nora Everett Davis and had lived in Midland area for 25 years, coming here from Oklahoma. He formerly worked as a coal hoist operator for the Crucible Steel Co. here and for the past three years was employed as a driver for the Ohio Valley Charter Bus Lines. A member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church at Ohioville and American Legion Post 481 of Midland, he served with the U.S Army during World War II. He leaves his wife, the former Lorene Turner, whom he married Aug. 2, 1942, two sons, Willard H. ( Butch ) Leake of East Palestine and Donald D. Davis of Grove Hill, Ala; four daughters, Mrs. Mellina A. Campy of East Palestine, Mrs. Louann Trimble of Aliquippa, Mrs. Debra Ulizio of New Brighton and Miss Teresa Davis in the home; five brothers, William M, Robert C, Paul K., Clifford D. and George D. Davis all of East Palestine; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Haggery of Beaver and Mrs. Jane O. Hill of East Palestine and seven grandchildren. Twin brothers James and John Davis preceded him in death. Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m today at the funeral home.
