Description	:	Don Hosman, 74, of Pierre, died Monday, December 4 at Avera St. Marys Hospital. Services were Friday, December 8, at Oahe Presbyterian Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Donald Louis Hosman was born August 10, 1943, in Pierre, SD, to Fritz and Ruby (Lofgren) Hosman. He grew up and was educated in Pierre, graduating from Riggs High School in 1961. Donald Louis Hosman was born August 10, 1943, in Pierre, SD, to Fritz and Ruby (Lofgren) Hosman. He grew up and was educated in Pierre, graduating from Riggs High School in 1961. After the death of his father he drove fuel truck for his mom and ran Capital City Oil Shortly after high school, Don joined the National Guard, serving for 22 years, retiring in August of 1985 as a Sergeant First Class. Don worked for many years in maintenance for the Pierre School System, only recently retiring. He was a huge Pierre School and sports booster, attending almost all sporting events. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sports, especially wrestling. Don was a member of Oahe Presbyterian Church, the Moose Lodge and Swishers Ballroom for many years where he enjoyed dancing every month. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife, Ellen, Pierre; their children, Lance (Stacey) Hosman and their children, Tye, Myles, Will and Kane of Stickney, SD, Brian (Amy) Hosman and their children, Anessa and Maecyn of Sioux Falls, SD, DeNeil (Todd) Taylor, and their children, Gracelyn, Katelyn, Brooklyn of Pierre, SD, and Don's son, Dennis (Tami) Hosman of Dell Rapids, SD; brothers, Dale, Dan and Dean Hosman; and sisters, Mary Harding and Karen DeWall. Don was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Shirley Ryan and Phyllis Jaeger and a brother David Hosman. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
