Description	:	Donna Margaret Dietrich, 69, was called home by her Savior on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee, Wash. She was born on January 18, 1941 to Carl and Feirda (Pickett) Dietrich at the family home in Chelan, Wash. She was named after each of her grandmothers, and joined three older sisters and her brother Karl in the family. Donna's interests became focused on art and ballet, which tended to keep her inside the house. Read More	Donna Margaret Dietrich, 69, was called home by her Savior on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee, Wash. She was born on January 18, 1941 to Carl and Feirda (Pickett) Dietrich at the family home in Chelan, Wash. She was named after each of her grandmothers, and joined three older sisters and her brother Karl in the family. Donna's interests became focused on art and ballet, which tended to keep her inside the house. Karl was happiest when he could get her distracted and she would chase him outside--he had won her attention! Her family enjoyed her art work, usually of people, and she became quite accomplished with her ballet, which frequently put her in the limelite at dance recitals and other programs where she was asked to perform. She graduated from Chelan High School with the Class of 1959. Several of her classmates met for luncheons and maintained their longtime friendships. She was married to Brian Strausbaugh in December, 1959. They had two sons, Scott and Jeff. Donna was not fortunate to have good health. She dealt with the difficulties of being bi-polar, was a diabetic and in August was diagnosed with colon cancer. She chose to start chemotherapy treatments, and though it did work on the cancer cells, it also proved to be not good for her kidneys. She spent her last few days in the hospital with her family at her side. When she was not suffering from her afflictions, she was a gentle, loving, caring person who loved her friends, her pets and especially her two sons. She enjoyed a good joke, a good laugh, but she was happiest when she was with her family, listening to Elvis Presley's music, karaoke and the treasures she would find at her favorite hobby, going to yard sales. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Arita Anderson and Winifred Larson. She will be sorely missed by her two sons, Scott (Diana) Strausbaugh of East Wenatchee and Jeff Strausbaugh of Bellevue. There are five grandchildren, Beau, Kristina, Zachary, Spencer and Sebastian. She is also survived by her sister Louise (Don) Love of Mansfield; her brother Karl (Lynda) Dietrich of Chelan; her niece-like-a-sister, Linda (Gary) Garnant of Ephrata,; nieces Connie Whitman and Donita Love, both of Wenatchee,; Vernita Nolan of Pateros; her nephews Bob Love of California; Steve Love of Mansfield; Les Dietrich, Doug Dietrich, both of Chelan. Her local surviving cousins include Rex Pickett, Johnny Dietrich, Gloria Miller, Delbert Dietrich, Sharon Little, Glenna Reeves and Karen Hall. The family extends a special thank you to her close friend, Twila Spanjer from East Wenatchee. Services will be on Friday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Chelan, with Pastor Keith Rife officiating. Commital services will be at Riverview Cemetary, Chelan. Serves have been been entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
