Bliss were brought Thursday from Kansas City, Mo. for burial by the side of her husband who preceded her in death Nov 30, 1932. Rev. Buchanan conducted the services held here. Dora A. Livingston was born in Canada April 13, 1865 (*1864) and died Jan 23, 1933 in Kansas City. When but a small child she and her parents and three sisters moved to Rockford, Ill., later coming to Iowa. On July 4, 1880 she and I. J. Bliss were united in marriage in Randolph. Five children - three sons and two daughters - came to this couple and all survive their parents. The three sons - W. A. Bliss of Des Moines, Austin of Sidney, and Orrin of Kansas City, Kan., - and son-in-law, Herbert Bivins, of Kansas City, Mo., attended the burial Thursday. Mrs. Bivins, the daughter, was so prostrated by the sudden death of her mother she was unable to make the trip to Randolph. The other daughter, Mrs. Earl Williams, of Mt. Vernon, Wash. was also unable to come because of sickness in her immediate family. Mrs. Bliss was a member of the M. E. church, faithful and untiring in her labor of love for all mankind; a Christian who went gladly to be with her Savior and join her husband in that better land. The five children, twenty grandchildren, and five great grandchildren are left to mourn the passing of this Christian mother. Just a few hours prior to the burial a message came telling of the arrival of a great granddaughter. The remains were brought from Hamburg Thursday afternoon at 1:30 and placed in the house of her niece, Mrs. Chet Driskell, and friends and relatives were given permission to bid farewell to the loved one. She was a member of R. N. A. Clover Leaf Camp 3537, Tekamah, Nebr. Those from a distance who attended the burial of Mrs. Bliss were: Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bliss, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bliss, and Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Jarvis of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Bliss, son Lowell, and daughter, Maxine of Sidney, Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Bliss and sons of Kansas City, Kan.; Herbert Bivins, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Pearl Martin, late of New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rhodes, Mrs. Fannie Rhodes, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rhodes, Mr. and Mrs. Austin King of Norwich; Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Rhodes of Glenwood.
