Her father married Lydia Chaplin in 1848 in Highland County, Ohio, and they had eight children. Lydia died in 1864. Her father married Melvina Chaplin, Dora's mother and the sister of his first wife, in Pike County, Illinois in 1865. Reuben and Melvina had two known children; Dora and Ora. Warren was the son of William Egloff, a veteran of the Civil War, and Margaret T Calvert. Warren's mother, Margaret, and Dora's father, Reuben Calvert, were half-siblings. Reuben was the son of Charles Calvert and his first wife. Margaret was the daughter of Charles and his second wife. Dora and Warner had five known children: Luella May (Weyhe)(Baker), Louis Ernest, Nellie A (Castens)(Somes), Willard Clay, and Ivan Warner. All children were born in Sidney, Iowa.
