Murphy on August 31, 1941 and one child, Marian, was born to this union. Robert entered the US. Army Air Corp and was killed in action in the Pacific Theater in 1943. On May 15, 1955, Doris married George Lillich of Tecumseh, and the three children, Steven and twins, Joan and June were born to this union. They resided on the family farm southwest of Tecumseh until they moved to Tecumseh in 1999. Doris was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at St. Peters Lutheran Church in 1956 where she remained a member and was active in the Dorcas Society until her death. In 2006 Doris moved to the Ridgeview assisted living and to Belle Terrace in 2009, where she passed away on Sunday Sept. 8, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands. Robert and George, sisters, Virginia Cowell and Genevieve Truscott Cotten brother, Trueman McCoy; and sisters and brothers in law. Doris is survived by her hcildren; Steven and wife JUlie Lillich of Lincoln. Marian and husband Lloyd Beethe of Tecumeh, NE. Joan and husband Jeff Peters of Elk Creek, and June and husband Bernie Stratman of Hildreth, NE. Eleven grandchildren, six Great-grand children . Funeral services held Sept. 21,2011 at the St. Peters Lutheran Church, rural Elk Creek, NE. Pallbearers were the grandchildren. Interment was in the church cemetery.
