She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church, Brunsville, and past president of the women of the E.L.C.A. She attended country school in Washington Township and graduated from Le Mars high school in 1950. She is survived by her husband, Harold H. Jelken, Le Mars; a son, Greg Jelken and his wife, Mary Kay, Le Mars; a daughter, Lynn Spink and her husband, Cecil, Kingsley; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathon Spink, Kingsley, and Jason, Kevin and Tony Jelken, Le Mars; a brother, Dennis Nielsen, Hilton Head, South Carolina; and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Donna) Kienzle, Potsdam, N.Y.
