Description	:	Dorothy Cleone (McCoy) Beman Oct. 28, 1937 -March 11, 2005 Funeral services for Dorothy Cleone (McCoy) Beman of rural Sioux County will be held Thursday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Christ Community Church in Crawford with Pastor Matt Parker officiating. Burial will follow at the Glendale Cemetery. Mrs. Beman died March 11 at the University Hospital in Denver. A memorial has been established at Security First Bank in Crawford and Harrison to help the family with final expenses. Dorothy was born Oct. 28, 1937 in Crawford to Marion K. and Lela McCoy. She grew up in rural Sioux County, attending Glen School and Crawford High School through graduation. Dorothy married Jerry Beman, her high school sweetheart, December 31, 1955. To this union were born three daughters: Vicky, Cheryl and Jerri Sue. Dorothy traveled with Jerry during his military career, until his retirement in 1975, when they moved back to the family ranch where she grew up. She loved ranch life, working outdoors, music, art. She loved her family, most of all. She was very giving of her time, willing to help out anyone in need. Dorothy helped care for her elderly father, and spent many years caring for her mother. Dorothy was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, holding many different offices over the years. She is survived by: her mother; her daughters Vicky Dunn and husband Pete of Harrison, Cheryl Wright and husband Ray of Hemingford, Jerri Sue and her husband Rod of Whitney; sisters Anna Mae Reece of Crawford, Lee Taylor and husband Danny Wood of Chadron; brother LaVerne McCoy and wife Jo, and Gerald McCoy and wife Lois of rural Sioux County; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
