Read More	Dorothy Behrens, 81, of Beatrice died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. She was born June 15, 1935 in Beatrice and worked at B.S.D.C. before marrying Arlo Behrens on October 19, 1970. They owned and operated the Odell Tavern from 1979 – 1983. She then worked at Martin Luther Home/Mosaic with the Direct Support Staff until her retirement in 2010. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary both of Beatrice. She enjoyed all of her grandchildren, shopping, gambling, antiquing, flowers and her dog Missy. Survivors include four sons, Brian Walters and wife Carla of Beatrice, Russ Behrens and wife Lisa, Roger Behrens and Steve Behrens and wife Jeanette all of Beatrice; three daughters, Chris Miller and husband Steve of Yuba City, CA, Deb Houseman and husband Bob, and Theresa Schramm all of Beatrice; 21 grandchildren, Stephanie Meyerle and husband Mike, Shannon Schidler and husband Sean, Chad Houseman, Kyle Behrens, Chelesy Walters and special friend Matt Fralin, Cody Walters, Cortney Walters, Paige Buss and Morgan Behrens all of Beatrice, Nick Parde and wife Heather, Tanner Parde and wife Anne, Matt Schramm and Mandi Schramm all of Odell, Kirk Houseman and wife Kim of Dardenne Prarie, MO; Betsy Frerichs and husband Darin of Holmesville, Roxanne Miller and special friend Paul and Will Miller and special friend Lindsay of Portland, OR, Nicole Patterson of Milford, KS, Malory Coward and husband Jason of Concordia, KS, Austin Giroux of Beatrice and Kylee Behrens of Junction City, KS; 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine (Heaney) Kollekowski; her husband, Arlo, who died on June 11, 2014; grandson, Ryan Schramm; three sisters, Betty Ellison, Marjorie Higgins and Pat Kollekowski and three brothers, John, Bob and Jerry Kollekowski. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 18, 2017 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Kathee Forrest officiating. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. on Thursday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Thursday. The family will meet friends at the Fox Funeral Home on Wednesday May 17, 2017 from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
